The “Indivisible” guide makes its national debut
In today’s NYT, the Indivisible guide makes its national debut. Essential reading for the opening of the new Congress. Might help give Democrats some backbone that may need reinforcing.

I don’t think the guide forcefully addresses the turnout issue. TeaPartiers resisted Obama for two years AND showed up to vote in the 2010 midterms. This means, for example, that calling one’s MoC is less effective than organizing a group that will excite people to turn out and vote.
The Guide is not about elections and voting. It’s about what to do in-between elections. The Tea Party used these tactics to stall the Democrats’ agenda from 2009-2010. If they would have refined their tactics out sooner, they might have even stalled Obamacare and Dodd/Frank’s initial implementation. If the resistance gets going now, it may be possible to stall at least some of the initial wave of legislation being drafted by Ryan’s crew now.

I really love how practical this guide reads. For example when standing with a mic at a town hall meeting hold firm to the mic. If a staffer tries to grab it away from you, they don’t want to seem confrontational. Especially if you have someone videoing on their phone, which is also recommended.
