@SteveKornacki Note the hard work of reformers to get rid of the county line ballot system, which held down newcomers! It's a new day in New Jersey. https://t.co/nYsHNHYYEn

I'm delighted to see the strong finish of Analilia Mejia and Tom Malinowski in the 11th District special election. They show the power of voters when they aren't hemmed in by New Jersey's county line system. My testimony helped end that system: https://t.co/nYsHNHYYEn https://t.co/y919C8VhBM

This week, Betty (on the right) helped me with a Reddit AMA. Why am I running for Congress? In tough times for Americans, democracy, and science, we have to stop the damage and get ready to rebuild. https://t.co/l0eJAWq7KS https://t.co/aHdLOpQLQn

Fundamental reform requires citizen legislators who will wield power to make long-term change. Until last year, I was unaffiliated with either party, making me an outsider. I am seeking the Democratic nomination to bring that party closer to its stated ideals.

We have to stop the damage of the last year from happening again. We have to build strength through deep reform. We need a system that maximizes the power of voters. Examples: eliminate the Electoral College, reassert Congress’s constitutional authority, and reform SCOTUS.

Repairing gerrymandering is just the start. Attacks on our constitutional system have revealed an executive branch run amok. We must defend individual rights. For example, ICE must be replaced by an agency that fixes real border problems, not act as a masked paramilitary.

My students & I have created the Princeton Gerrymandering Project. Without fear or favor, this project calls out gerrymanders in all 50 states. These standards show independent citizen commissions can end gerrymandering. I'll introduce legislation to make commissions the law. https://t.co/hb4IzjVTd4
