Redistricting battles everywhere

December 4th, 2015, 10:27pm by Sam Wang

Bloomberg Politics has an excellent interactive on redistricting battles (ht/ to reader bks). While we’re on the topic, make sure to read the New York Times this weekend. I have a piece on gerrymandering standards in the Sunday Review section.

Other entertainment: here’s a cool general-election demographic simulator by Aaron Bycoffe and David Wasserman.

Thanks for the NY Times Sunday Review pointer!
Say, I’ve been scouring the web, searching for an article by you on the meaning of a 75% probability. Any hints appreciated.

PS Loved the Demographic Simulator. Is this why the GOP is against The Dream Act? As to the other issue [what do probabilities mean?, I SO love this:

In the movie “Naked Gun”, the OJ Simpson character is in the ER after being shot full of holes. The Leslie Nielsen character asks, “What are his chances, Doc?” The doctor replies, “Only 1 in 10 and only a 50/50 chance of that.”
